Nilheim Mechatronics Eye Mechanism

As I continued my dive into animatronics, I really wanted to build a proper eye mechanism. I was lucky enough to come across this fully printable one from Will Cogley! All parts were fabricated on my Polyprinter 508. The system is controlled by an Arduino Nano and Adafruit 16-channel PWM driver.

This was a great project to work on and very enlightening. It influenced my design of WATTS quite a lot. I enjoyed putting the eyes together so much, I went ahead and also built Will’s bespoke eye controller. Check out all of his projects at nilheim.co.uk and donate to his Patreon to get full STLs of all his work.

Will also designed a servo tester to manually find the limits and natural center of servos, so of course I had to build that too. Here it is hooked up to one of my button vending machine mechanisms for testing.
