Dice Making Classes and more at Sili-Con!

Maker Nexus had a booth at SiliCon 2022, and I took on the role of lead workshop runner for the weekend. We did all the hits from Dungeon Makers’ Guild; I taught dice making at a table in-booth, and ran dice tray and bag sewing workshops for the Savage Makerverse.

The best thing about a con is the energy and the sheer chaotic beauty of it. Working at a makerspace is a very grounded thing - we have a building full of tools and we make stuff happen there. But in the shared creative space of a con, there’s a lovely sense of fluidity. While the dice tray classes were planned and posted on big signs in the space, the dice making classes were completely off schedule. They were just…part of the booth. That means I got to teach people who didn’t wake up that morning expecting to take a class, and that’s always a treat.
